Stylistically, I immensely enjoyed this page, as with most of the comic.
I do feel it worth mentioning how blasted difficult it is to say anything while diving headfirst into a pool of liquid with the intent of swimming downwards. (I’ve done this quite a few times personally)
My imagination takes flight to the idea that Sha spoke while inhaling, and therefore turned a cultured English accent into something quite funny already.
Plus she is a Avian and from owning a bird I know that the lower beak has a small open gap in it. This is how birds sing by using their beaks like a Ocarina or a Recorder Flute with their uper beak being the note changer. They also use the beaks like we would our mouth with no air going through the game hence why parrots cand say words or mumble which I find quite adorable from my little Senegal Parrot buddy.
In theory you could say she has two voices. Here she could of used her loser beak to whistle out the words and in this world it makes he just sound like her normal voice only on helium.
I’m just trying to give you ideas with what I know of birds. Helping in a way I suppose.
I have to say, I love the feel of this comic. It’s got the same sort of vibe as Exalted and the Keychain of Creation comic.
Can’t wait to see the next page 😀
Out of a random spurt of motivation (but mostly boredom), I went back to the start of the story and read up to now. I must say, your art though good at the start only got better and better as the story progressed. The most notable comparison would of course be the first few pages and the current pages.
Love the story, can’t wait to see what Fen has planned, and I’m hoping they succeed in saving Vix. Cheers!
Isn’t it amazing what almost 3 years of daily drawings can do to your skill level 😉 Most notably the speed, these pages used to take me a full week, now I crank them out in 12-ish hours on average.
And here Red thought Fenfen was going to get in the way.
