From the shape shown I’d say some where between 10 and 15 percent of the globe.
I would also bet that there is a field generator somewhere in the center of the remains that maintaining gravity, and Atmosphere.
As for why they don’t understand the reason for the shape, I bet that they have some ancient records somewhere that depicts their planet as a sphere. None of the current maps match up witht the ancient ones because of the Event that “Ate” most of the planet.
So basically, after the world was destroyed, Alfredtina went into “sleep-like state” (perhaps a medically induced coma. Perhaps like Mr. House was in Fallout New Vegas for anyone who would understand that). It was said that LARS was interlocked with his subconscious to access memories for teaching future generations. Maybe during the other eight extinction level events in which PATH had to be used in order to “reseed” a world, he removed a portion from the planet after the effects were irreversible. I think that Farelliar is that portion of the planet, as the whole globe was seen from page 57. BAM! I’ll be taking that to the bank! As to a 100% answer to why that portion of the planet was removed, I have no idea other than the speculation that I have already said. Above all, I love your world building, story, and character development that you have added to this in between all the naughty bits. It really shows how a truly breathtaking story could be told, and still have horny characters being the center of it all. I cannot stress enough how much this webcomic has shaped my life. I love your work and I hope to see that at least some of what I’ve said was correct. Or who knows, maybe none of it. Your the one actually doing all the work! You make it happen, whatever you feel is right, keep up the fantastic work!

There’s not much left after ten extinction events (the 9 LARS survived through, and the initial one)… There might not be enough to save after another.
