You can dye your focus and still use the form (at a dampened level). Permanent removal of the color shift, such as through burn damage or natural fade may impede your ability to use it though.
We don’t yet know all the details, but it may not be completely born-into. Vix is a Hadalen mage, despite not having a focus for it (via last page comments). Also Mis can connect to all 5 (from this page comments).
Would a race that’s normally mono black be denied even the possibility of using Hadalen?
If so, wouldn’t that have interesting socioeconomic implications?
Current mental image of Stelmar: Wasteland inhabited by one or more mono black (nocturnal or subterran) races. Due to having no Hadalen users, its growth is inhibited. May have very low ratio of some other magic user types, such as Cronin. This inhibits growth further. It also increases the probability of people being superstitious. End result is a weakened, craven nation largely hiding underground and eschewing contact with other peoples.
(may devise a self-inserting character according to this)
A dark gray character with a black tail tip still has a black tail tip, so yes. Inversely, if they’re entirely black, the focus would likely manifest as a dark gray. So yes, even if your primary color is that of the magic form, the focus can still manifest as a different shade or hue.
I seen you explained it a bit in the previous page but what if someone could fully connect to ALL of them at the same time? Would that make them a god?
It’s impossible. If you have a 1GB/s router and you connect five devices to it and run downloads on all those devices, you’re not gonna get a total download speed of 5GB/s, you get 1GB/s shared across the five. There is no amount of what-if-ing to get around that :p
I wonder if the Mistress had tried to connect to the Vitrin core? Seems likely to me anyways…
I mean she’s all white. I was also thinking how come Mis’Alia be leading the temple teaching people at Hadalen if her only focus (her entire body) is white.
That’s why all pandas vanished long time ago: matter/antimatter annihilation leaves very little to dwell upon afterwards – not to mention energy/antienergy one…
Remember, citizen – so called Foundation is naught but an urban myth, and nothing more.
Now, here’s your wonderful big slice of fresh spicy crust pizza with this complementary pill, take it – y͕ͨͧ̌o̬̖͉̠̠͐͊ͮͮ̏͂u̍̈͊͒ ͓̪͔̤͔̒̀k̼ͧ̎͢ň͍͈̲̞͔̫́̅̔͒o̝̬͢w̘̺̋̉̌ͤ̉ ͯ͛̄́ͫ̂y̓̽o̳̺̲̾̒́̓̉̚u̡͈̜̝ ̡̱̾ͥw̵̖͍͑a̼̲ͭn͎̦̟͇͉̱͚ͪͦͭt̪̩͈͋ͦ͗̆ͪ̿ͫ ͔ͦ͞t̵̫̳̥̻̻̫͊ͫ͒̓̾̈́o͖̼͔͉̙̦ͣ̓ͯ – and move along, there’s nothing interesting here.
Tbh this is my guess but if I remember correctly is the last chapter Vitrin is an entity and A black hole. Just inferences I picked up from the dialogue.
Strictly speaking, “world eating white bubbles” is Vitrin.
…if you meant the Power Vitrin, and not the person Vitrin, that is – for if you meant a person Vitrin, then yes, he is somehow linked to world eating white bubbles, that “somehow” being “serving as a living(*) conduit for [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [DATA EXPUNGED]”. (*) in purely metaphorical sense
So I’m thinking of it kinda like the light and darkness but opposite. I get it because I’m into all the kind of magic shit. But in this case darkness is creation an light is destruction. Am I getting this clear?
But you have mentioned people connected to Vitrin – id est, people with prominent white coloration in needed bodyparts. So, if one is to interpret your question as one regarding specifically characters depicted on the page above – here’s your answer: “Vix has no white coloration, only gray; she can not connect to Vitrin, therefore she can not be counted as a survivor of such attempt”.
Of course, given that you asked about Vitrin channelers in general, I presume, such a narrow (and orthogonal) answer may come off as a bit incomprehensible, but…
I’m currently rereading this and just noticed Haladen has the symbol of The Path and Vitrin, The Coil
How does dyeing or depigmentation affect one’s ability to use magic?
You can dye your focus and still use the form (at a dampened level). Permanent removal of the color shift, such as through burn damage or natural fade may impede your ability to use it though.
I’m sad this is a “You have to be born with it” magic system.
We don’t yet know all the details, but it may not be completely born-into. Vix is a Hadalen mage, despite not having a focus for it (via last page comments). Also Mis can connect to all 5 (from this page comments).

But vixs tail is all black
I have a strange question, could someone potentially be connected to ALL of the magic at once?
I seen you explained it a bit in the previous page but what if someone could fully connect to ALL of them at the same time? Would that make them a god?
Meeks has white arms and tail….vitrin confirmed
It’s impossible. If you have a 1GB/s router and you connect five devices to it and run downloads on all those devices, you’re not gonna get a total download speed of 5GB/s, you get 1GB/s shared across the five. There is no amount of what-if-ing to get around that :p
i can have three PC’s, a wiiu, a ps4, and xbox 1 dowloading on my 1gb router. slow, yes, but do able
I didn’t say it wasn’t doable. I said it won’t magically give you more bandwidth just because you’re using more devices :p
Ok, that makes sense. But about the media thing…She has a white tail and arms
Meeka, sorry
There are no Vitrin mages, officially. So no, Meeka is not a Vitrin mage. :p
I wonder if the Mistress had tried to connect to the Vitrin core? Seems likely to me anyways…
I mean she’s all white. I was also thinking how come Mis’Alia be leading the temple teaching people at Hadalen if her only focus (her entire body) is white.
She’s silvery blue, her HAIR is white.
Mis’alia may not be able to use hadalen but according to something fer did a while back she can use the other 4 by using body paint
She can use Hadalen too. It’s one of her special things :p
And there you have it mis’alia can use all 5 powers
Why did they even MAKE a Vitrin satellite?
It was already up and running before the event, and you can’t easily disassemble or move a black hole in a bottle.
Vitrin, the light that burns the sky, and eats it………along with everything else
Would a Panda have an extremely high connection to Vitrin and hadelen?
That’s why all pandas vanished long time ago: matter/antimatter annihilation leaves very little to dwell upon afterwards – not to mention energy/antienergy one…
Darn no dick magic
Is vitrin dangerous cos there is still too much power out put for a person to handle
Vitrin is dangerous because [REDACTED]
Thats it! I’m calling the SCP foundation!
Remember, citizen – so called Foundation is naught but an urban myth, and nothing more.

Please say its not just me, but the ship in Vix’s hand I’m pretty sure is from space vixen. Could be wrong though.
Yes, it’s a reference. :p
also, vitrin is somehow linked to the world eating white bubbles, isnt it? unstable and consuming…
I think it’s funny and informative that you explained through pictures that one of the non focus is the dick. xD
When all else fails, draw a picture to make sure people get it. :p
You don’t know how happy it makes me that when i finish designing this dnd game, there will be NO dick magic! Praise the sun!
Ehh, don’t know – any game without anal circumference check is barely worth it.
(rolls) …negative anal circumference?
So I’m thinking of it kinda like the light and darkness but opposite. I get it because I’m into all the kind of magic shit. But in this case darkness is creation an light is destruction. Am I getting this clear?
Black is creation, white is consumption, yes.
Well, given that black is the colour of joy, and white is the colour of death, that is to be expected, methinks.
Wait, there are people who have connected to Vitrin and survived?
Or are we just saying what people who tried to said as the world was ending one of the 10 times?
There are people who have TRIED and survived. They didn’t quite make it all the way through, and that’s the only reason they survived. :p
Aah, that makes sense.
That’s gray buddy not white.
I take it you meant to reply to someone else? I never mentioned gray or white in my comment.
Of course, given that you asked about Vitrin channelers in general, I presume, such a narrow (and orthogonal) answer may come off as a bit incomprehensible, but…
Yes i get it, thank you. I already figured it was a lighter gray, i was merely making sure. Always better to ask than assume.
So, what? Does that mean Vix is potentially able to connect to Vitrin? Or is that not white in her fur pattern?
That’s not white.
That’s what i thought x3x great comic by the way! I love it ^^
Holy cheese, Vitrin sound terrifying.
Did you you not see what happened in the last chapter?
